Our client, a local authority based in Hertfordshire, is seeking an experienced Capital Project Manager to join them for a contract role. You will manage a team of 12 Project Managers/Officers to ensure the efficient delivery of a number of new property projects in line with the Council's growth objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring that all the objectives are met across development and delivery phases of these projects and that they are delivered to time and budget. You will work in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders and be responsible for ensuring that they are fully informed throughout the developments.
Applicants for this post should be degree educated in either Surveying or Planning and have a proven experience in project managing the delivery of capital projects, including working with developers and the local community. Experience in working in Local Authorities or similar settings with political skills and portfolio holder and key stakeholders management skills is a requirement of this role as is excellent report writing and communication skills and experience of presenting Committees.
The role will initially be offered for 3 months though there is potential for it to be extended beyond this. The rate offered is £300 per day and this role is inside IR35. A full JD available on application.
