Our client is a local authority based in North West London who are seeking an experienced Capital Project Manager to assist in the efficient delivery of a number of projects in line with the Council's growth objectives. These will focus around schools so experience of delivering projects in this area, especially secondary schools would be advantageous. You will support the Programme Manager in ensuring that there is continuous development and improvement within the department through strategic management and planning.
You will also have responsibility for ensuring that all the objectives are met across development and delivery phases of these projects and that they are delivered to time and budget. Working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders you will ensure that they are fully informed throughout the developments.
Applicants for this post should be degree educated in either Surveying or Planning and have a proven experience in project managing the delivery of capital projects, including working with developers and the local community. You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation operating at a senior level with elected or board members.
The role will initially be offered for 3 months though we have been informed there is potential for it to be extended for 6 months. The rate offered will be around £350 - £450 per day and this role is inside IR535. A full JD available on application.
