Our client is a local authority based in East London, which is seeking a Capital Projects Programme Manager with cladding removal experience to join them for a contract role.
You will be responsible managing a programme of major housing Capital and improvement projects, of up to around £5 million p.a., in value, from identification through to completion, including development, planning, briefing, co-ordination, monitoring and control, usually within a ‘partnering’ relationship, so as to secure effective outcomes which meet the Council’s objectives. Working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders you will ensure that they are fully informed throughout the developments.
Applicants for this post should be degree educated in either Surveying or Construction and have at least 5 years of recent proven experience of managing/delivering both internal modernisation and or retrofitting of existing residential buildings. You must also have experience of working from the design phase through to implementation and operation and have excellent knowledge of the CDM regulations.
You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation operating at a senior level with elected or board members, have excellent presentation skills and be able to write clear reports on financial and technical matters.
The role will initially be offered for 3 months but is expected to be extended beyond this date. The rate offered will be between £400 - £450 per day umbrella.
