Our client is a Central London local authority, and they are seeking an experienced Capital Programme Manager to join them for a contract role.
Reporting to the Head of Capital Programme PMO you will lead a construction PMO, including major projects and planned maintenance. These capital programmes and projects are within Social Investment and Property and must be managed and led in accordance with Council procedures and construction project management best practices. You will be responsible for ensuring the objectives, targets and priorities of the Council are achieved whilst remaining compliant within statutory regulations.
Applicants for this post should be degree educated in either Surveying or Construction, though this is not essential. You must have proven experience in project managing the delivery of capital projects from RIBA stage 0-7. experience of working in Local Authorities or similar settings with political skills and portfolio holder and key stakeholders management skills is essential, as is excellent report writing and communication skills.
The role will initially be offered for 3 months, though there is potential for it to be extended beyond this.
Our client is offering a Hybrid working arrangement with a 50/50 split between home working and office working. The rate offered will depend on your experience and this role is inside IR35.
