Our client is a local authority based in the South East of England which is seeking an experienced Capital Programme Manager to assist in the efficient delivery of a number of projects in line with the Council's growth objectives.
The Council has a broad range of asset classes including 350 investment assets and 400 other assets, including corporate buildings which include its office headquarters, the Town Hall, Community and Leisure Centres, moorings and parks. This role will be focused on delivery of the capital programme and the successful candidate will play a key role in dedicated project teams providing professional advice and input on property matters including leasing, development, possession strategy and property management issues.
You will also have responsibility for ensuring that all the objectives are met across development and delivery phases of these projects and that they are delivered to time and budget. Working in partnership with a range of internal and external stakeholders you will ensure that they are fully informed throughout the developments.
Applicants for this post should be degree educated in Surveying and have a proven experience in project managing the delivery of capital projects, including working with developers and the local community. You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation operating at a senior level with elected or board members.
The role will initially be offered for 6 months though we have been informed there is potential for it to be extended beyond this. The rate offered is £60/hr Umbrella and this role is inside IR535. A full JD available on application.
