Our client is looking to appoint a Business Manager for a minimum 6 month period. The role of Business Manager is focused on delivering service improvements through effective project management of various work streams.
Specifically in this role, our client is looking for someone to manage the extension of the Council’s Waste Management Strategy for the period 2022 and 2023, hence the role may roll on way beyond the initial 6 month period.
Your primary function will be to assess the current service delivery model with a view to recommending changes which could include changes to the organisational structure; use of IT; climate change actions and general commercial development activity.
The role sits within Environmental Services and will see you acting as the department interface with a range of corporate shared services working to establish and maintain effective, quality and performance monitoring systems. You will also have an active role in dealing with third parties.
The successful candidate for this role is likely to have extensive experience within a Local Authority service improvement / delivery role or you may have worked for an environmental / waste services contracting organisation specialising in operational delivery.
The client is a Local Authority in South London. They are looking to pay £199/day (equivalent to around £27.50/hr). The rate may be negotiable. The role is inside IR35. Ideally they would like a start pre Xmas but will consider those on notice periods and only available from January.
