Excellent opportunity to secure a long term contract with a central London Authority in the newly created post of Business Engagement Manager. The role sits within a new service delivery area, developed as a partnership between our client, commercial landlords and business improvement districts. Their objective is to create sustainable jobs and long-term economic growth.
Working as a Business Engagement Manager, you will serve to maximise employment and training opportunities for jobseekers through a programme of employer engagement, training and mentoring. You will work in conjunction with employers to access a wider, more skilled and diverse pool of talent while at the same time creating a strategic social investment programme which contributes towards economic growth in the local community.
The role will be well suited to those with a background in economic development; particularly those with experience of employment development programmes and carrying out work to engage with the local business communities. Confidence, good communication skills and a positive approach to work are essential in this role.
The initial contract will run until the end of 2019 but it is fully expected to extend until the end of March 2020, possibly longer. The pay rate will be at least £22/hr (umbrella).
