Our client is a Local Authority based in East London and they are looking for a Business Engagement and Communications Officer to join them for a contract role.
The core objective of this role is to lead and develop campaigns and activities to engage with businesses and promote the projects and initiatives aimed at supporting businesses to recover from impacts of Covid-19, other business support projects, and employment support projects delivered by the Economic Development team. The postholder will work with internal and external stakeholders and appointed suppliers to ensure engagement and take-up of services and wide promotion and publicity.
You will be responsible for the delivery of content across all media channels including the website, social media and business newsletter
To apply for this role you will need experience working within the context of local authority on communication campaigns, ideally with an economic development focus. You will a strong understanding and knowledge of the Economic Development Agenda particularly in respect of business engagement and support. Have experience and knowledge of the use of digital media and the different digital channels and be able to prioritise, plan and organise work.
This is a contract role which will run until the 31st August 2022 and they are offering a rate of £160/day (inside IR35). The closing date for submitting CV's is 2pm on the 20/08/2021.
