Osborne Richardson have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Director to join the newly formed Regeneration Directorate of a local authority in Hampshire. Our client is a local authority who are currently working on converting £50m grant into £1bn investment to fund a large scale programme or regeneration and development.
They are looking for an exceptional candidate to grow and lead a team of project development specialists working on strategic projects designed to improve the built environment and economic growth of the borough. As the Assistant Director of Strategic Projects you will be responsible for delivering our client's pipeline of development projects, with a focus on regenerating the City with income generating programmes. You will be expected to build a team capable of delivering the pipeline of development projects. The teams' culture should be commercial in nature whilst still respecting the public sector context in which it works. You must be prepared to support an entrepreneurial environment in which your team can work and grow.
Applicants for this post should be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant project management or property surveying discipline and have a proven experience in project managing the delivery of strategic regeneration projects within a Local Authority setting. You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation operating at a senior level with elected or board members and you will a strong knowledge of legislation pertaining to businesses, and especially of regeneration.
