As an Allocations Officer you will be required to provide an effective and responsive casework and assessment service to new and existing housing applicants. You will work in accordance with part VI of the 1996 Housing act. The role is based in central London with easy access from Kings Cross or St Pancras station.
To carry out the role you will need knowledge and experience of housing legislation and housing options. You will need to be able to manage a varied workload under your own initiative and you will need to be able to work well under pressure to deliver to agreed deadlines. A good attention to detail is critical as is the ability to show empathy and good listening skills.
The initial contract will be 3-4 months but it is very likely it will extend. The standard working week is 36 hours and the rate will be £19.19/hr (umbrella).
