The key function of this role is to complete comprehensive suitability assessments to ensure the successful discharge of housing duty to clients offered suitable accommodation in line with Localism Act 2011, the Homelessness (Suitability of Accommodation) (England) Order 20i2, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, Housing Act 1996 Parts Vl and Vll, and other key legislation and case law.
You will be required to arrange temporary accommodation placements using the various options available taking into account an individual's specific circumstances. You will manage a caseload and you will be required to work efficiently and often under pressure dealing with those in stressful situations.
Good communication skills are absolutely essential as is the ability to organise and prioritise a demanding workload. You will need an excellent working knowledge of UK housing legislation as detailed above and strong customer service skills.
The role is based in East London, will last at least 6 months and pay £24/hr (umbrella).
