Full Description

Osborne Richardson are very pleased to be working with a leading independent planning consultancy who are looking for an Assistant or Graduate Planner to join their very successful and expanding team for their Leeds office. We are looking for a skilled, ambitious and motivated candidate looking to further their career.

Our client has expertise and a proven track record in the following key development fields: residential, retail, sports and leisure, commercial and industrial, renewable energy, rural and countryside matters, the historic environment, and minerals and waste. As an Assistant or Graduate Planner this role offers the chance to work on a broad mix of projects that are both interesting and challenging.

Responsibilities:

- Providing town planning and urban design consultancy services
- Dealing with, residential and mixed use schemes on urban and greenfield sites
- Working on complex projects to an agreed brief and deadlines
- Attend meetings with clients/local planning authorities and other stakeholders as a representative of the client and to liaise directly with other professionals
- Undertake site visits
- Provision of professional advice (in writing and verbally) directly to clients in consultation
- Able to communicate effectively with client contacts and external bodies/authorities/ consultants in respect of project working as required

Requirements:

- 0-18 months Town Planning experience
- Private or Public Sector experience
- Good professional writing skills
- Technical skills such as mapping (GIS), economic and population analysis, desktop publishing and social media are desirable
- A willingness and ability to work independently and in a small yet growing team environment
- RTPI accredited degree or Masters qualifying you for RTPI status is desirable

Our client are offering a very competitive salary package circa £22,000 to £25,000+ package depending on experience, but would consider more for the right person.

Our client will support the successful candidate through their APC.
