Full Description
Our client based in South East London requires up to 3 degree qualified Town Planners to carry out roles within their Development Management Team. You will examine and evaluate all types of planning applications made under the Town and Country Planning Acts and related legislation, assess whether proposals are in accordance with Council's policies and liaises with officers of other directorates on matters arising from planning. Additionally you will assist with carrying out project briefs and feasibility studies in relation to regeneration and/or economic strategy work.
You will deal with enquiries from the public, developers, potential developers, other authorities, Council Members and relevant clients on planning, regeneration and economic development issues and proposals involving policy interpretation, planning law, technical criteria or of a research, policy, plan, development control, design or environment nature.
Recent work experience is essential and ideally you will have gained experience within London. Your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
The rate will reflect upon your experience but we expect it to be between £20-£25. There roles will initially be offered as a 6 month contracts and will be extended beyond this. Please get in touch for further details.
