We have a great opportunity for a Strategic Planner to join an award winning Planning Team with a Local Authority based in Essex. They are in the early stages of preparing a new Local Plan which will include; a major mixed-use regeneration scheme, a football stadium and seafront and leisure development.
You will deal with enquiries from the public, developers, potential developers, other authorities, Council Members and relevant clients on planning, regeneration and economic development issues and proposals involving policy interpretation, planning law, technical criteria or of a research, policy, plan, development control, design or environment nature.
Recent work experience is essential and your knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines will need to be fully up to date. You will need to have good communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders on a daily basis to convey complex, detailed information in a clear, concise format.
This is a permanent position offering a salary of between £29,323 - £35,443 (dependant on your experience). Our client will also offer one-to-one mentoring and flexible working hours.
