We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Building Control Officer to join a busy Local Authority based in Essex in the process of implementing their Local Plan which will include; a major mixed-use regeneration scheme, a football stadium and seafront and leisure development.
You will assist in the delivery of their Building Control function, ensuring that their obligations under the Building Act and associated legislation are administered and enforced. You will work on large complex projects under the guidance of the Team Leader and Group Manager, processing Building Regulation applications within required timescales and producing the appropriate decision notices.
To carry out this role successfully, previous experience in a similar role is required as well as the ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Building Control regulations and have an understanding of building processes. A relevant degree and professional membership is also required.
This is a permanent position offering a salary of £35,444 - £41,967 (there is some flexibility around the salary).
