Excellent opportunity to join a very busy authority in South London, working within their Regen team. As a Regeneration Officer you will work in a project team who focus on specific areas within the Borough and work on schemes aimed at revitalising, reshaping and regenerating communities. As such you will be involved with developing close links with the community and projects to stimulate economic growth. Work will also involve schemes that look at the local culture and leisure offering and how to enhance the community. Ultimately your goal will be to create a place that communities are proud of and want to look after as their neighbourhood.
The key deliverables for the role will centre around your ability to successfully create and implement plans that take a holistic approach to regen by accounting for all aspects of economic growth including community spaces. You will work on area plans and will be required to deliver within a specified time frame and in line with the authority's wider regen agenda. As part of the role you will be involved in securing external funding.
To apply for this role it is absolutely essential that you hold an appropriate degree level and have worked in a similar capacity previously. You experience should previously have focused on community led regen schemes. Good communication skills are essential and you our client is looking for someone with a proven ability to clearly communicate ideas, concepts, issues and financial information to third parties.
