Our client, based in Surrey are looking for a Licensing Officer to work alongside their Enforcement Team. You will be contributing to the development of the Licensing Service in accordance with Council policy, aims and objectives. You must also be able to assess the technical suitability of premises where appropriate, assess compliance with legislation and undertake enforcement work in respect of licensed/registered premises.
Other duties include:
-To be responsible for the assessment of the technical suitability of premises where appropriate in respect of a range of activities to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, rules of management, codes of practice and guidance. To assist with mediation is suitable cases.
-To be responsible for undertaking enforcement inspections in respect of both licensed and unlicensed premises and carry out enforcement action.
Experience in Hackney Carriage/Private hire taxi, Gambling and alcohol is crucial and you must be able to start ASAP. You will be offered a 6 month contract with a negotiable rate of pay varying from £21-£24PH LTD.
