This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to take up the role of Housing Development Manager working for our local authority client in South East London. You will take the lead role in a dynamic, award winning team working on a range of high profile development projects. Essentially your core function will be to lead and shape the team and further develop their capacity to deliver to ambitious targets.
To carry out this role successfully you will need a wealth of experience in housing development gained within a local authority setting and ideally within London. You will need good business acumen and a strong commercial focus in your approach to work. With a proven track record in successful stakeholder engagement and the ability to develop and bring on board partnering arrangements within a range of sectors (e.g. local education, culture, community development) you will enjoy working in a fast paced environment and will be confident in your ability to deliver under pressure. Appropriate academic / professional qualifications are expected at this level.
The role will be offered on a rolling contract basis with the initial period being 3 months and the day rate is negotiable and will be a minimum of £350, but we'd probably expect in excess of £400 for a role at this level. You will be required to work 3 days per week.
