Environmental Health Officer/Technical Officer - Housing

Our client, located in the west of Surrey, are currently exploring options to resource private sector housing proactive inspection work for a three period pending recruitment to a permanent position.

The work would be focussed on proactive inspections of private rented accommodation, predominantly small HMOs, and we would expect the individual to undertake the inspection, complete the HHSRS assessment, consider all relevant legislation (e.g. licensing, management regulations etc), draft the appropriate legal notice ready for service, and complete the statement of reasons etc. As such the candidate would need to be suitably experienced in private sector housing and able to work accurately with the minimum of supervision.
