Our South London Authority client is seeking an experienced and energetic transport planner who will help deliver plans for a town centre.
With the adoption of the Core Strategy, our focus has now turned to the realisation of the spatial objectives. They are ooking for someone who can:
* Advise on and support the Futures programme with regard to transport planning issues in the Town Centre. * Contribute to the review of the Town Centre Area Action Plan with regard to transport policy integration * Promote, in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders, sustainable transport provision throughout the Borough. * Engage with statutory bodies and stakeholder organisations and the wider public on transport planning issues to guide the development and implementation of policy. * Promote and engage with appropriate stakeholders on major transport projects, such as the Roads taskforce and Crossrail 2, to seek to secure benefits. * To engage with officers throughout the Council to ensure a spatial planning approach that helps to deliver other Council aims and objectives. * To draft appropriate committee reports, and papers and take a lead role in organising discussions with Members.
