Our client requires a Private Sector Housing Officer on a contract basis for a minimum 3 month period although this is expected to extend due to a busy ongoing workload. As a Private Sector Housing Officer you will carry out the full range of inspection and enforcement duties. This will include dealing with general housing complaints on a day to day basis and the role will have a strong enforcement emphasis to it so experience in this area is essential. Our client will be looking to source someone who can demonstrate previous project experience managing cases from start to finish and having involvement with prosecution cases.
The successful candidate must be able to hit the ground running and be able to show an excellent understanding of all types of housing complaints allowing them to be flexible to the council's varied work programme. You will need to have a thorough working knowledge of current legislative guidelines and you will need to be HHSRS qualified.
