Our client is a leading international engineering and environmental consultancy, providing multi-disciplinary consultancy services to the property, infrastructure, energy and environmental markets around the world. Their award-winning environmental consultancy division is one of the leading environmental consultancies providing transactional support to banks, property, private equity, and blue chip clients. Their multinational clients have a diverse range of operations throughout the world, which require coordinated support at a local level.
They are currently looking for a high calibre Principal Consultant to join their fast growing Due Diligence Team, to help lead the team and deliver high-profile UK and global transactional projects.Reporting to the Associate Director of the team, the role provides an excellent opportunity to be involved in team and services development.
Ideally qualified to postgraduate level (or equivalent), you should also have demonstrable experience in the following areas:
" Technical: Relevant consultancy experience (approx.7 to 9 years) required in multidisciplinary projects from single sites to property and corporate portfolios. In this regard particular emphasis will be put on property and corporate due diligence and compliance audits. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to generate and technically review reports. Demonstrable solid technical knowledge of current and future legislation in relation to the UK and EU environmental law and best practice. Experience in Health and Safety Due Diligence is desirable;
" Project Management: Solid commercial awareness, with demonstrable quality, financial and time management skills is essential;
" Business development: Track record on proposal writing and winning work in the due diligence sector. Substantial experience of client liaison (e.g meetings, presentations) and key account management/ relationship development is also required, together with a proven ability to actively seek new commercial opportunities (clients and markets);
" Team Management: The candidate will be required to assist in the nurturing of the existing due diligence team, providing training, and mentoring as appropriate. Recruitment of new team members as required; and
" Additional language skills will be an advantage but are not essential
