Professionals in environmental health jobs are being offered the chance to access a new website put together by a leading industry body.
The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) has helped to design the Phorcast site to provide information to individuals working in the sector on issues such as how to improve their CVs and continue their professional development.
Funding for the website has been provided by several other national public health organisations, as well as the Departments for Health in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Graham Jukes, chief executive of the CIEH, said: "CIEH believes that Phorcast will be of enormous benefit not only for those people starting out on their careers in public health, but also those who wish ... to make use of their transferrable skills."
Earlier this month, the CIEH called on MPs to back the Sunbed Regulation Bill, which proposes that under-18s are not allowed access to ultra-violet tanning devices in commercial premises.
