Officers with jobs in town planning could begin work on building an arcade in Buckinghamshire if plans are accepted.
Earlier this week, DLA Town Planning submitted a permission request to Chiltern District Council to build the over-18s gaming centre on Chesham High Street, the Buckinghamshire Advertiser reported.
The organisation previously handed in similar plans to build the arcade on the Broadway but the local authority refused the proposals.
Speaking to the newspaper, councillor Justine Fulford stated that if plans to construct the 40-machine gaming centre were given the go-ahead it would be a "tragedy".
However, spokeswoman for GLA Planning of St Albans Gemma Walker said that the centre could "provide additional daytime and evening activities with the shopping centre of Chesham", bringing more people to the area.
Visitors will also find it easy to visit other nearby areas, after Buckinghamshire County Council confirmed today (October 25th 2010) that High Wycombe's Park and Ride contract will be renewed from the beginning of next month.
