Town planning officers needed for regeneration study
There could be a greater demand for people with jobs in town planning after a regeneration study for Rawtenstall goes ahead.

Architect BDP Liverpool, GH Regeneration and JMP are set to look at the redevelopment for the Lancashire centre.

It is intended to eventually make Rawtenstall a thriving market town.

Head of BDP Liverpool Andrew Teague said: "Rawtenstall needs a long term planning solution which will help to regenerate the town centre, supporting the thriving independent high street shops, improving transport links and attracting new investment into the town."

If plans to rejuvenate the area go ahead, there is likely to be a greater demand for people with jobs in town planning in order to reconstruct its layout and facilities.

Earlier this month, the Place North West reported that a retail park in Liverpool was bought by Roy Blackhouse & Co for £1.2 million.

It is thought that the property consultants plan to redevelop the area, which already contains facilities including a Carphone Warehouse and Subway.
