Top regeneration job filled in Gloucestershire
An important regeneration job with the South West Regional Development Agency (RDA) has gone to Tony Bray.

Mr Bray, who will also remain in his current post as director for Dorset, Swindon and Wiltshire, has been appointed as the new area director for Gloucestershire and the West of England.

He is taking over the regeneration job from Ian Knight, who is set to join the Homes and Communities Agency.

Mr Bray said he was looking forward to his new role but added there will be plenty of challenges ahead.

"These are still difficult times for businesses and for the delivery of regeneration schemes and it's important that we work … to ensure that there is a strong recovery," he stated.

Earlier this week, the South West RDA also announced the appointment of Chris Garcia as its new director of cultural industries, tourism and sport.

Mr Garcia will start his new job on Thursday (April 1st 2010).
