The expertise of people with
jobs in environmental health has been requested in Stoke-on-Trent following a licensing application.
According to the Sentinel, high volume levels from the Stanley Matthews Way premises could cause disturbance for residents who live nearby.
Environmental health campaigners from Stoke-on-Trent City Council have called for a ban on outdoor drinking after 22:00 at the pub in a bid to reduce the risk of complaints.
Forty staff are set to be employed at the Trentham Lakes location, which secured planning permission through the Greene King brewery.
Council officer Geoff Bithell said: "Any noise, particularly late at night, is likely to result in a loss of amenity for those residents.
"Allowing food and alcohol outside after 10pm is likely to result in public nuisance."
The local authority's dedicated noise pollution team carry out regular investigations into disturbances caused by a number of factors, including burglar alarms, construction sites and nuisance neighbours.
Members of staff at the council advise residents to contact them if they are faced with excessive noise.
