A town planning job to build a new doctor's surgery at a Sainsbury's store could fall through.
The Solihull News is reporting that plans to construct a superstore in Dorridge do not include proposals for a new surgery - a move which has angered residents.
One homeowner told the newspaper: "Sainsbury's maintain this is necessary to accommodate the new, only slightly reduced size of store. In other words, have the bigger store which they originally proposed and they will incorporate a new surgery.”
Sainsbury's regional town planning manager Jamie Powell stated that talks are still to be held over the final outcome.
She added that there will be a full consultation with Dorridge residents.
Last week, supermarket chain Tesco's began its £200 million redevelopment project in West Bromwich city centre.
People with town planning jobs started work to build a new £7 million police station, PublicPropertyUK.com reported.
