A Sainsbury's store in the West Midlands has called for help from environmental health officers after it became infested with flies.
Last week, a customer at the store in Blackheath, Sandwell, complained about flies in its bakery department.
Margaret Collins told the Express and Star that her and her husband Alan had seen the "flies all around".
She added that they "couldn't believe [their] eyes".
After telling Sandwell Council about the infestation, the local authority took on the large-scale environmental health job of ridding the shop of the insects.
Sainsbury's confirmed there had been a problem and spokesman Tom Parker said it had been dealt with.
"We called in outside experts and the flies have been removed," he commented.
This comes after the Dunfermline Press reported that a rat infestation had hit Dunfermline in Fife last week.
Environmental health officers were called in to clear buildings to prevent the rodents from returning.
