People with
jobs in town planning in Ruthin have joined forces with residents in a bid to make changes to the Welsh location.
With the aim of creating a long-term plan about the future of the Denbighshire town, local people have been encouraged to attend meetings and voice their views on possible projects.
Following a previous scheme, in which students from Cardiff University created potential plans, council officials have launched Future Week with the hope of attracting shops and businesses back to the town centre.
Supported by the Design Council for Wales, the campaign offers help to businesses that need to re-invent themselves to beat out-of-town competition and the internet.
Chair of Bro Rhuthun Tourism Group Gavin Harris said: "It's an exciting programme lasting seven days for voices to be heard, eyes to open and brains to engage with positive ideas about the future of Ruthin."
Ruthin residents will be given the chance to sketch and record the town centre with the help of professional artists as part of the campaign.
This Sunday (May 29th), Draw on Ruthin will allow local people to get to know their surroundings and develop future plans.
