Four towns in Carmarthenshire are to be subject to regeneration work.
Locals living in Laugharne, Newcastle Emlyn, St Clears and Pendine are being asked their views by the county council on what work should take place as part of the town planning jobs.
Among the proposals made so far are riverside access schemes in Newcastle Emlyn and St Clears, promenade improvements in Pendine and the implementation of an environmental enhancement scheme in Laugharne.
Michael Morgan, project development officer for Carmarthenshire Council, told BBC News: "We have prepared detailed plans with the support of the four towns involved and consultation has been carried out on the feasibility of each scheme."
He added that council officials will visit each town in the coming weeks to discuss the plans in more detail with residents.
Earlier this month, staff in town planning jobs met up in another area of Wales for an industry conference.
UK Planning Aid's event was held in Cardiff and focused on the best ways in which local communities can become more involved in development decisions.
