Staff in environmental health jobs in Staffordshire have played a role in a road safety campaign.
They teamed up with members of the police, along with trading standards professionals and HM Revenue and Customs for the operation, which saw vehicles being stopped along Stafford Road in Stone.
A total of 41 cars were pulled over, with two drivers issued with £300 fines for not having a waste carriers licence, reports the Sentinel.
"Seven vehicles were issued with prohibition orders," the newspaper added.
"One driver was reported for summons to appear before court for having defective brakes, a bald tyre, no rear indicators and no insurance."
Last month, officials in environmental health jobs helped to catch a dangerous driver who was wanted for running over a pensioner back in 2006.
