People with
jobs in environmental health in Elmbridge have praised a campaign aimed at increasing the confidence of intimidated neighbours.
Road shows held in the area during Noise Action Week have been deemed a success by council officials who worked alongside community members.
The scheme, which took place in a number of locations, was created to offer advice to community members faced with disturbances from nuisance neighbours.
Attended by approximately 1,000 people, the events were also used to promote the local authority's online toolkit, which can be used to upload witness statements about loud music.
Tony Daeg, head of environmental health and licensing, said: "I would again urge anyone who is bothered by noise to view our award-winning noise web site for help and advice."
Noise Action Week, which ran from May 23-27th, aims to create solutions to problems associated with excessive volume levels and highlight the dangers of exposure noise pollution.
