A regeneration job on the Welsh town of Colywn Bay has moved a step closer following the appointment of design consultants.
The town planners have been tasked with drawing up a "masterplan" that will lay out exactly how the area can be improved, reports BBC News.
DPP Sharpe has been appointed to carry out future regeneration jobs in Colwyn Bay, with the intention being that a single company will be able to coordinate improvements in an effective manner.
Concerns have been raised about the town's pier in particular, but Bryon Davies, chief executive of Conwy Council, said: "The council is focusing on the regeneration of the town as a whole."
Earlier this week, a cabinet meeting of Derby City Council approved £10 million worth of funding for regeneration work in the city.
The budget will be put to a full council vote next month, reported the Derby Telegraph.
