People with
jobs in environmental health in Chirk have advised residents to speak up about their concerns over dust from a local wood panel factory.
According to the Border Counties Advertizer, community members have been urged to inform council officials if they experience problems associated with the substance.
Environmental health staff have stated that complaints about the dust need to be directed at the Kronospan factory in order for action to be taken.
Local people have claimed to experience an itching problem after coming into contact with the substance, which occurred during a momentary spillage.
Borough councillor Ian Roberts said: "I encourage the public to phone Wrexham County Borough Council and complain. Don't be seen as a burden, you are informing people of the problems."
The local authority's environmental health team regularly carry out tests to evaluate air quality in the area in a bid to monitor pollution levels, which could pose a threat to public safety.
