A campaign has been launched in the West Midlands to encourage residents to take care of the planet by people with jobs in environment and sustainability.
Earlier this week, Walsall Council announced that it has taken up the EcoTeams programme.
According to the local authority, EcoTeams help groups of community members make choices to reduce their environmental impact.
"Together, you'll look at how you can take action to reduce your carbon footprint and live a healthier, greener life," it stated.
Walsall is not the only council taking part in the programme and other local authorities around the country are launching the green initiative, which claims it can reduce carbon emissions by 16.6 per cent.
Residents are likely to be particularly keen to get involved as EcoTeams suggest that by taking part they can lower their bills by up to £170 every year.
