People with
jobs in environmental health in Bristol have assisted in the prosecution of a nuisance neighbour.
According to the Bristol Evening Post, Stephen Baker was fined £105, with £105 costs, for listening to music at unacceptably high volumes.
After being issued with a noise abatement order by Bristol City Council in January, the 20-year-old student continued to flout volume regulations.
Neighbours had complained about Mr Baker's loud music on a number of occasions, with some able to identify particular songs through the walls of the property.
Steve George, defending, said: "Mr Baker has apologised to the neighbours and arranged that if the music is too loud they will text to tell him. There have been no more issues."
Bristol residents are able to contact the local authority's pollution team if they wish to voice any concerns about volume levels from a wide variety of properties in the area.
