Full Description:
Our local authority client in East Anglia require an experienced Health & Safety Officer to undertake the following brief.
The role would be that of lead H&S officer to cover major accident and incident investigation, the highest category of H&S inspections and to provide H&S input as a licensing consultee..
There is no management role associated with the function other than a task to assess the other three team members, who are primarily food safety officers, for s18 competency relevant to next year's requirements. There will be, though, some mentoring of other team members to assist them in their own H&S duties.
Hours could be part time - 3 days a week.
As demand from accidents and incidents fluctuates hugely, then lower level H&S duties would come into play if there is a need to regularise a minimum number of hours at times of low activity. There may be some out of hours work if a serious H&S incident occurs outside normal office times. The contract duration is likely to be 2 to 3 months.
Starting Mid August
