Environmental Health Officer/Technical Officer - Dog Warden (Ref: OR/030999)

North West Local Authority Client require a Dog Fouling Enforcement Officer to be be part of a Dog Welfare Team monitoring compliance and enforcement of legislation relating to fouling dogs. The job will mainly consist of visits to various parts of the City, taking enforcement action, either in the form of serving fixed penalty notices or prosecutions. You will also be required to provide advice to the public on the requirements of dog fouling law and promote good dog ownership. Due to unsociable hours the rate will be looking at 18/hour. Ability to work regularly outside normal office hours as required (e.g. weekends, early mornings and evenings). Hours will be seasonal but will be early mornings (06:00 hrs 10:00 hrs) and evenings 18:30 hrs 22:00 hrs) and up to 6 hrs on Saturday and 6 hrs on Sunday. These hours will be subject to increase and vary according to daylight hours.
