Our client has requirement to appoint 2 experienced Development Control Planning Officers to provide assistance to a busy team. You will take responsibility for a case load of applications working to ensure they are processed in a timely, efficient fashion, offering your technical advice and input throughout. The caseload is varied and will include both minor and major schemes so this is an interesting role and a good chance for someone to gain valuable experience across the board.
To apply for this role you will need to hold a relevant RTPI approved qualification i.e. at Degree level and above. You will need to have previous experience within a local authority planning department and be completely up to speed with current planning legislation as you will be expected to pick up and manage the caseload from day one. It is important that you can organise your workload effectively and it is essential that you are a clear and confident communicator due to the range of people you will come into contact with on a day to day basis and the information you will be requested to provide.
